Orders can be placed directly with Trutex. Alternatively, you can order from Trutex Direct by phone, call 01200 421206. Postage and packaging is free on orders over £50 or just £3.50 for orders under that amount. Trutex will normally deliver within 7 working days, although during the busiest time towards the start of the academic year this can be extended.
If delivery is delayed and your child is unable to come to school in the full, correct uniform until items arrive, please send in a note or email your child’s class teacher/tutor who will inform staff of the situation.
No jewellery other than one pair of stud earrings only, no facial or tongue piercings. Watches are permitted. All jewellery must be removed for PE lessons
No obvious make-up, no coloured nail polish or acrylic nails. Students who wear coloured nail polish or noticeable make-up will be asked to remove it in school
No extreme hairstyles, including colour. You are expected to return to school each year and term with hairstyles that are appropriate for our school environment.
No outdoor clothing inside the building
The only compulsory logo item is the Five Islands Academy blazer. The secondary school skirt is also specific to Five Islands Academy.
Please contact your child’s tutor or Mrs Lewin if purchasing either or both of these items causes financial difficulties and we will discuss how best to support you.
Assuming that you complete and sign the school’s acceptable use policy for IT use, your child will have full access to an iPad which they will also be able to use at home. This item must be brought into school fully charged every day.
We provide keyboards for students from Y3 – Y11 for use in school only. We strongly recommend that you purchase a keyboard for use at home; this is to encourage the development of touch typing skills in all our students.
In certain quadmesters, students will need sport-specific equipment such as football boots, shin pads or gum shields. Letters will be sent home to give plenty of notice when these are needed. If parents are unable to source these items, they should email Mr May and he will do his best to help.
